Our Story


Welcome to Sarabeth’s, a culinary gem where passion for flavor meets tradition. Founded in 1981 by Sarabeth Levine, a multi-award-winning restaurateur and jam-maker, our journey began in a cozy New York City apartment with the creation of a 200-year-old family recipe for Orange Apricot Marmalade. From these humble beginnings, Sarabeth’s blossomed into a beloved brand, synonymous with gourmet quality and artisanal charm.

Explore the origins of our famed “Legendary Spreadable Fruit” in our state-of-the-art 15,000 square foot Bronx factory, where each jar is still crafted with the care and passion that Sarabeth and her husband Bill poured into their original batches. Today, our preserves grace the shelves of the finest department stores and gourmet shops across the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, Japan, and South Korea, celebrated for their impeccable quality and irresistible flavors.
